During its existence, representatives of more than 60 countries took part in the International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk". About a million people attended various festival events.

Initially, it was planned that the festival would change the city every year. Moreover, the list should have included not only Belarusian, but also Russian and Ukrainian cities. However, the organizers from Belarus completely abandoned such an idea after the first festival. Later, they tried to return to her in 1997. It was planned that the Slavic bazaar would be held in Vitebsk, Odessa and Samara. But this time the festival could not be postponed.

The first festival "Slavic Bazaar" in 1992 gathered in Vitebsk representatives of 8 countries (Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Georgia, USA, Canada, Australia). The concert was attended by the iconic stars of those times: "Syabry", Inna Afanasyeva, Valery Skorozhonok, Victoria Noskova, Zifira.
