MINSK, 21 February (BelTA) – The 30th edition of the Minsk International Book Fair will be held at the exhibition center at 14 Pobeditelei Avenue on 22-26 March, BelTA learned from the Information Ministry.

The fair traditionally gathers exhibitors from 10-30 countries.
The Year of Peace and Creation will define the concept of the upcoming fair. The exhibition will be titled “Boundless Book World”. Belarus’ national stand will be consonant with the theme of the fair and will showcase current trends in book publishing.

Belarus’ national stand will be arranged in a form of a makeshift studio where new books will be launched, and interviews, dialogues and debate with journalists will be held. The national stand will feature unique art objects created within the framework of the Fatherland project. One of these art objects is a giant bison that symbolizes the modern Belarus. The exhibition will be broadcast live on the media resources of the Information Ministry and its partners from 12.00 to 18.00.

The central site of the fair will display children’s and youth literary projects themed around “peace” and “creation”.
State-run TV channels in collaboration with the Culture Ministry will be showing films based on famous books.
