It was a bright day at the end of May and the castle looked straight out of a fairy-tale, with its five square towers, massive walls and a picturesque courtyard.

The castle was built at the end of the 15th – early 16th century and at the beginning of our century it was beautifully restored. Now it provides a fascinating insight into the life of its previous owners and inhabitants. Tourists are told wonderful stories and legends about the castle and the man-made lake. I liked climbing up the steep narrow stairs inside one of the towers imagining myself a warrior. Then we climbed down and went to the basement. It was a bit scary but fun to see the old torture chamber there.
I was glad to visit this place. It was such a memorable educational experience!

Not so long ago I went there with my classmates.
We had known a few facts from the history of the castle before going on this trip and we all knew what to expect, but I still was impressed with what I saw.
