More than 110 thousand square meters — this is the area of the building. The book depository is located on ten floors. 10 million media – books, manuscripts, magazines, newspapers. There are unique collections here: old books and handwritten folios. The collection of the rarest specimens is about 90 thousand . Including rarities of the 14th-18th centuries.
The volumes, pamphlets, collections and monographs collected here are written in almost ninety languages. The collection contains sheet music, maps, as well as images on various media. But the funds can expand, since storage for 15 million storage units has been thought out. Twenty reading rooms — for 2000 readers at the same time. They are located on the first three floors. Fifteen hundred places make it possible to work with an electronic catalog. 500 thousand books and other publications are freely available.
